ListingBott alternatives: done-for-you or self-serve submission — which one?

ListingBott has been doing done-for-you directory submissions since 2022, built around a "human + AI hybrid" delivery and a "review the list before we submit" promise — it is one of the more established names in this space. Its boundary is clear too: what it sells is the outcome of "getting it done for you". If what you want is a submission workspace you control and reuse over time, then it and AI Linkify are two very different things. This page lays out the comparison.

Frequently asked questions

What is the fundamental difference between ListingBott and AI Linkify?+

Not the feature list — the model. ListingBott is a done-for-you service: you pay and the provider completes the submissions, delivering a one-off result. AI Linkify is a self-serve tool: it puts directory data, your product details, AI copy generation, auto-fill and status tracking in your account so you can submit faster yourself, and reuse it all long term.

Can I use both?+

Yes, and plenty of people do. A common combination: use AI Linkify for the directories you have accounts on and can submit to directly, and leave sites that need human outreach — or that you simply have no time for — to the done-for-you service. Keeping both tracks in a single list is clearer than maintaining two spreadsheets.

Does AI Linkify submit automatically for me?+

Not by default. The extension detects the current site on the submission page and fills in your product details, and you press confirm for the final submit — this keeps content accurate and avoids the account and quality risks of fully automatic submission. If you have more sites than you want to confirm one by one, you can turn on unattended mode in the extension settings: it de-duplicates per site, then submits after a countdown that you can cancel at any time. This mode is off by default.

Are directory submissions still worth it? Will they be flagged as spam?+

The risk comes from site quality and duplicate submissions, not from volume itself. AI Linkify only lists manually vetted sites, prepares a different description for each site, and blocks duplicate submissions per site. On top of that, being listed in high-quality directories earns more than a backlink — it can be cited by AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, an underrated upside today.
